Sharp’s 108-inch LB-1085, the world’s largest LCD display that was unveiled at CES 2007 finally sees a launch at Gitex 2008
in Dubai. The behemoth panel features a contrast ratio of 1200:1,
400-cd/m2 brightness and offers an amazing 176-degree viewing angle, a
resolution of 1920 x 1080 coupled with a variety of inputs, including 3
HDMI for your HD equipment, like a Blu-ray player, and DVI-I connectors
for connectivity with a wide variety of equipment and devices. The
company maintains a lead as an environmentally advanced company with
the production of this world’s largest LCD panel in the Sharp Kameyama
Plant in Japan, which is a super green factory. The low
power-consumption design of the Sharp LCD display is aimed at reducing
CO2 emissions, which is another step towards ensuring a green
environment. No word on the price is currently available but it would
be somewhere around $150,000..what do you think?
