by Administrator 30. October 2008 03:50

Here is some good news for all the seekers of luxury yachts who don’t want to be impolite to the Mother Nature. Island Pilot LLC has taken wraps off their first ever hybrid yacht christened DSe Hybrid 12m. The 40ft green yacht uses technology that combines diesel, solar and electric power. These three components altogether create the DSe acronym. Without sacrificing on style and status as well as performance, the Island Pilot DSe Hybrid 12m is able to rip the waters at 6 knots only on solar power and 13 knots with diesel included. The hybrid yacht boasts state-of-the-art on-board luxurious amenities, including an on-deck master stateroom with a ‘sleigh bed’ and a 270-degrees panorama view, guest stateroom with island queen that converts to twins, and a spacious galley that has two settees, a high-low table, a 26” HDTV and a Bose home theater system. Tech facilities include a Garmin 15-inch touchscreen with Garmin HD radar, Tecnautic Fly by Wire controls and gyro autopilot, 4 zones of air conditioning, hi-tech refrigeration with ice maker, and a KVH Satellite TV antenna with DirecTV receiver.

Since leisure sailing isn’t faithfully the best thing for environment, isn’t the Island Pilot DSe Hybrid one of the finest option available for a luxurious green cruising? The DSe Hybrid can be yours for a cool $600,000. More shots after the jump.
