We have to hand it to these guys who were good enough to give us a few laughs today. A study on what they call “Petrosexual Drivers” commissioned by a used car seller in the UK has given the world new insights into driving behavior. The most important finding however, is that females driving a BMW are more likely to wear sexy lingerie; a finding that has serious implications on how we see female BMW drivers.
It doesn’t end there though, BMW probably brings out the lingerie love in its drivers, even male drivers have a share in the lingerie love, as the study finds, “One in 20 (5 percent) of male BMW drivers wear a thong and eight percent of older men are more likely to go commando!” Also, the image you see above is of actress Kristen Davis with her BMW Hydrogen 7, and possibly has nothing to do with the study.
Here are the other not so important conclusions the study reached:
* Women are still most likely to name their cars
* Women are becoming more knowledgeable when it comes to knowing the difference between a coupe and a hatchback for example
* “Boy Racers” are still Subaru’s fans, while the “Sunday Drivers” enjoy their station wagons.
* Muddy boots are most likely to be found in the trunk of a MINI
* MINI drivers are the least likely to work out
* Females that drive a BMW are most likely to wear sexy lingerie
* “One in 20 (5 percent) of male BMW drivers wear a thong and eight percent of older men are more likely to go commando!”
* One in 10 think their vehicle choice makes them seem more intelligent
