Hotelicopter turns out to be a hoax!

by Administrator 31. March 2009 02:20

The Hotelicopter that fascinated most of us is reportedly a hoax. Though we have not contacted anyone from the (so called) company’s official site, we did noticed that the site doesn’t mention any telephone contact or registered company information. The site’s hosted on Wordpress which we apparently failed to notice earlier, and a closer look at “maiden flight” images look like they have been computer generated. We have also been getting emails from our readers who thinks this is a hoax, and with the first of April around, we think we have all the reasons to call it just that.

Thanks, Peter!

Limited edition coffee tables by Liana Yaroslavsky

by Administrator 29. March 2009 10:09

lisayaroslavsky
No décor is ever too packed for accommodating another stylish coffee table, especially when the piece is as artistic as these limited edition tables by Liana Yaroslavsky. The Paris-based artist and interior decorator has created a series of artistic coffee tables which will be in perfect harmony with any décor. Lisa’s newest creations feature three tables: “Cocaine” with a limited edition of 12, “O2″ and “L’O.” I particularly fell in love with “O2,” which features 100 balls of Murano blown glass floating above a parquet floor. “Cocaine” features a crystal chandelier lying broken on its snow white tile base — would be perfect for a modern Gothic decor, and “L’O” is made from hundreds of blown glass that recreates the raindrops effect. Browse Lisa’s maverick collection for your pick.

NYC penthouse offers En-Suite Sky Garage

by Administrator 25. March 2009 15:23

skygarage
Real estate might seem to be doomed in the recession, but that’s not holding back the rich from spending on luxurious condos and mansions in America. Apparently, celebrities are not the only ones splurging on real estate; 200 Eleventh Avenue is boasting an “En-Suite Sky Garage” 300 s/f area with in its New York City’s West Chelsea 19-story tower. CarLoft, Berlin was the first one to provide a sky garage to its residents that will enable them to park their cars by CarLift on the balcony of their floors. But, 200 Eleventh Avenue is Manhattan’s first en-suite sky garage. The prices of these luxury condos are at over $3 million and the penthouses goes up to $17.5 million. The occupancy for 200 Eleventh Avenue was scheduled for Fall 2008, but there’s still no date when the possession will be handed over to its owners. But, obviously, if you can afford to spend without counts, then the $72,816 Pop-up garage is any day better than this.

£50,000 pop-up garage is a shrine for affluent auto-lovers

by Administrator 23. March 2009 09:13

pop_up_garage
Pop-up swimming pools are what we have told you about earlier. But, a pop-up garage is even better. So, stow-away your Aston Martin in Bond style in this futuristic pop-up Cardok garage. The garage uses a hydraulic platform which can be hidden under a water feature, flowerbed or even a second car. And, at the touch of an electronic key fob you are all set for a perfect garage escape. The pop-up garage has been a major hit in London, eight of them have already been built, four are in production and more than 10 are on order, with interest highest in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Ealing, Dulwich and Highbury. So, if you too want one then the waiting list is already four months long and growing. The lift takes 10 weeks to construct and will cost you upwards of $61,181 depending on how you want it. This price would get you one with a flowerbed or water feature on top. And, if you want a car to be parked on top than it will be close to $72,816, i.e. 50,000 pounds.
