Wraps have come off Ferrari’s latest model and the successor to the F430. The new F458 Italia bearing the prancing horse logo is powered by a monstrous 4.5-l V8 that provides 570bhp and 470Nm of torque, the powerhouse is mated to a seven-speed transmission to send power to the wheels. The Italia goes from a standing start to 60mph in less than 3.5 seconds, and goes all the way to a top speed of 203mph, making it the fastest production vehicle from Ferrari.

The new car has come with a fresh dose of technology. It features an advanced engine, new double-clutch, along with new chassis and suspension technology. There are holes in the front and flanks of the bodywork that provide air to the engine, and make the structure more streamlined. Two movable wings near the radiator air intakes work to reduce aerodynamic drag at high speeds. The rear shows a three-tailpipe arrangement.

As was earlier believed, Ferrari may soon come up with hybrid versions of the car, probably as early as the LA Motor Show in December this year. The F458 is scheduled for an official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with deliveries beginning early next year. While there is no price tag on the car as of yet, Auto Express believes it will cost in the neighborhood of £175,000 ($290,000).

Tuners edo-competition have tuned the latest generation of the C 63 AMG, and given it a big power boost. Not that we’d call the 457hp from the C 63’s V8 modest, the near 100hp gain from edo sure does make things better. The tuned car gets 555 hp, and the torque has gone up to 680Nm, up 80 Nm from the stock version’s 600 Nm. The car races from a standing start to 62mph in just 4.3 seconds, and can get a top speed of 199 mph.

The gains come with the use of a high-performance exhaust system, exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, new air filters and a recalibrated ECU (including top speed governor removal). The high-flow exhaust is made entirely of stainless steel and has dual exhaust tips like the stock version.

Throwing in a luxury car as a freebie with some super expensive objects is getting quite popular. We’ve seen luxury car freebies with real estate, and now Pearl Motor Yachts is offering a Bentley Continental GT Coupe with its flagship model, the Pearl 60. The yacht has an open-plan design that places the two principal cabins at either end.

There’s a choice of 8 or 10 berths, and bespoke interiors to ensure that customers get the best from their yacht. It is run by twin 775hp Volvo engines, and has Garmin touch screen navigation system and Wesgarde touch screen integrated digital monitor and control system.

Not long ago, we talked about the need to give electric bikes an aggressive stance, and designers Bernhard Ranner, Anders August Kittilsen and Rudolf Stefanich have done exactly that. In fact, the ZEVS electric motorcycle concept goes an extra mile to get its retroish aggressive looks. They call it the first electric motorcycle for the “Real Biker” and real bikers probably will agree with them. As they put it, ” Designs for “real men”, dusty roads, in the spirit of Harley Davidson, Custom Chopper culture and the good old Route 66 romance.”

Designer Thomas Pastor’s unique styling continues with the Forza Rossa concept. Styling of the Forza Rossa isn’t radically different from his H Car concept, though it takes on a more aggressive, animal feel and gullwing-like doors. In fact, it looks more like a car from some sci-fi action flick. Again, like the H Car, the wheels on Forza Rossa have a dose of innovation as well. They are empty, but include a unique “Rail System” for function, and their unorthodox looks.

At Comic-Con, Disney put on display a full-sized model of the new Tron: Legacy Light Cycle. Only two light cycles exist, and have been made for the upcoming sci-fi movie. Click ahead for more images and a video. It looks great, and it will be in an amazing movie!
